Mary's Place By The Sea 7th Annual Walk-A-Thon

May 19, 2018 11:00 AM to May 19, 2018 03:00 PM
DESCRIPTION

If you are not attending The Royal Wedding on May 19th, we hope that you will join us for "The Royal Walk"! Mary’s Place by the Sea will host its 7th Annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 beginning at 12 noon on Ocean Pathway in Ocean Grove, New Jersey. Join us for a 2.5 mile walk in support of women with cancer; help us to provide a place for them to heal: mind, body and soul.  The event will also include local artisans and crafters selling and showcasing their wares, music, and food trucks!

Walker registration is $40 for an adult, and $25 for children ages 10-17. Children can be added to an adult registration. When you register, you will have the opportunity to create a team and a fundraising page. Vendor and Sponsorship opportunities are also available!

Check-in begins at 11 AM on the day of the event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Mary's Place by the Sea is a respite home for women with cancer, where they can enjoy a much needed break from their medical treatments and daily responsibilities. Through their interactions with our staff and volunteers, our guests are embraced as a whole person the moment they walk through our doors.  We provide services that complement our guests' medical treatment, including oncology massages, nutrition education, individual counseling, expressive writing, reflexology, Reiki, guided meditation, prayer, and yoga...at no cost to our guests. They are empowered with knowledge that will aid them on their road to healing: mind, body and soul.

Since beginning its mission in 2009, Mary's Place by the Sea has supported over 8,000 women with cancer at no cost, thanks to the generosity of donors and fundraising events like the annual walk-a-thon. For more information about Mary's Place by the Sea, visit www.marysplacebythesea.org.

Each year, more than 10,000 participants gather at one of our 5K locations across the state. Together, we honor those who gave, pay tribute to those who received, offer hope to those who continue to wait and remember the lives lost while waiting for the Gift of Life.

Through the 5K Celebration of Life, our Foundation is committed to increasing the number of lives saved through innovative transplant research, family support, public awareness and education about the life-saving benefits of organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
